The Rogalski Food Court just got a major upgrade. Students can now purchase a variety of drinks from the new drink station featuring the “Botrista”, a beverage machine that creates custom drinks, including fresh boba, smoothies, and more at the touch of a button.
The Botrista is a fully automated drink maker designed to deliver high-quality beverages to campus without long wait times. Students can choose from a range of drink options, mixes, and toppings, including tapioca for boba enjoyers.
“It’s honestly one of the coolest additions we’ve had in Rogalski,” says senior cybersecurity major William Steinbeck. “I love that I can grab a fancier drink now instead of the ones from the coolers.”
JP, a senior chemistry major who works at the new drink station, says, “I think it is something unique and fun to have at the food court. The machine helps us serve everything quickly and efficiently.” JP added about some complications with it, “It isn’t the easiest thing to use; it also limits customization to certain drinks and certain ingredients.”
The Botrista’s technology uses measurements and fresh ingredients stored in chilled compartments to ensure consistency and quality in every cup. According to the manufacturer, Botrista Inc., can craft boba tea and other beverages in just a 4-square-foot area with zero additional labor.
The new station has already become a popular hangout spot, with students lining up to experiment with new flavor combinations. Senior exercise science major Brady Smith says, “I really like the new smoothies. I had the tropical mango smoothie, and it was actually really good.” Alanna Raynee, a senior forensics psychology major, says, “I had the milk tea boba drink with the tapioca. I always liked boba drinks but was never able to have them often. I guess now I can get it whenever I want.”
The Botrista drink station is open daily during regular Rogalski Food Court hours. Whether you’re a boba lover or just looking for a refreshing drink, the latest addition to Rogalski is the spot.
