On Saturday, May 3rd, student musicians at SAU gathered to perform at the annual bi-annual spring recital inside Madsen Hall. Whether it was students majoring in musical education, or simply just like the hobby, they were each selected by their professors to showcase their talents. SAU professor of music, Nathan Windt, explained “It’s similar to how like it maybe an athlete distinguishes himself on the playing field by not only by excellence but also being a good example to their teammates.”
The students performed a variety of arrangements, including pieces by Schubert, Chopin, and Bach. One of the performers, Ryan Sander said the experience “just always feels amazing and honestly you don’t even realize that it’s over once it’s over when i get up there, it’s like a blip, and it was just really amazing to up there, to be able to perform, and show the people what I’ve done this semester.”
