When cold and unpredicted weather conditions arrive in the Quad Cities, students at St. Ambrose University are eager to explore indoor activities and stay as warm as possible. The doors of Dave and Busters opened January 19th.
Dave and Busters offer a family friendly, stress-free relaxing getaway, for all ages, including a ginormous arcade, a full sports bar full of screens casting live sporting events, private game suits, food, and drinks. For more information, check out their website here.
SAU Students Perspective
SAU psychology major Marian Shultz, says she took the risk, faced the cold, and brought the kids she babysits along for the ride. Mary says she did not have extremely high expectations for what she was about to walk in to, but after spending time hanging out, playing games, and enjoying what she would call, “five-star” food, Marian said she would gladly make a return back to Dave and Busters.
“The kids and I had a blast. With all the different games they had to offer and types of food, it wasn’t a bad experience. They had a spot for adults to sit while the kids all played and had fun, so I got to eat while I kept my eye on the kids,” Mary says.
A sophomore and nursing major here at St. Ambrose, Ellie Rude also took a trip to Dave and Busters with her family. “The games were so much fun, even though my siblings and I are all adults, playing the games is so much fun no matter your age, the night life there was super fun as well.”
Since the colder weather came upon St. Ambrose Students, Dave and Busters was a wonderful place to check out and explore the gaming options.
The biggest eye drawing factor for Dave and Busters are the private suites offering a quiet place for friends to hangout, campus events to be held, etc.
The Community’s Perspective
The community here in Davenport absolutely loves the new entertainment center, with hundreds of positive reviews like, “Me and my wife brought our two toddlers, Wednesday night, half price games, awesome! Great food, service, and staff. Clean environment will be back” located on their Facebook complimenting staff, service, and food. People emphasize how well the service here is, and how well treated you are from the moment you step through those doors.
Dave and Busters offer many kinds of entertainment for all ages, making it a popular space for families all over the country, especially when colder weather unfolds in your area and outdoor activities become limited.
The community here in the Quad Cities could not recommend another place better than Dave and Busters, here in Davenport, IA.
